Welcome To The HuddsMusicScene Website!!
HMS was set up as a means to promote live music in Huddersfield, give opportunities to young artists and musicians, and bring the town closer together through live community events.
Since their humble beginnings in early 2004, HMS has reached the top of their game. Last year they ran events with The Feeling, The Pigeon Detectives, Enter Shikari and Stateless, plus countless other up and coming artists, all within the shell of a local venue called "Bar 120". During their stay at Bar 120 HMS reached an amazing 7 nights a week of live music and within that time promoted everything from Hardcore nights to Jam sessions. However, the HMS journey was not destined to stay at Bar 120 forever, political differences arose with the owner and the management and so HMS moved back into the town to find other places to put on their nights. Bar Mocha is one of them and currently hosts our legendary open mic Acoustic Club (now in its sixth year), our monthly One World Music night and Huddersfields favourite Hip Hop/ Drum and Bass event, Beats and Pieces.
With their unwavering community spirit in hand, HMS intends to continue to bring the people of Huddersfield closer together through the common language of music. Thank you for all your support. HMS.
